Another hobby of mine, beside photography, is web design. It all started, when I wanted to present a couple of pictures of my pets on the web, to have them in one place where all my friends could see them. After some time I learned more and more about it. I have to admit though that I'm an autodidact and have no special education in web design. I just love the creative process involved and if you're interested in a web site, let me know!

Something I refuse to do is flash, it just takes forever to load and most effects you can do with simpler things anyway. For my sites I use simple html and maybe javascripts to get desired effects just as a slide show, a gallery without pop ups (I use layers instead). I prefer tables over frames (everyone who has a webside and google tried to crawl it will know why). Also I try my best to write valid code. I always design sites suitable for a resolution of 1024x768 and higher. This is important so people with a smaller screen can see them too without much scrolling. My sites are designed for the browsers Firefox and Internet Explorer, but are of course viewable with other browsers too.
